Expert Clean & Bright Wood Brightener Instructions

Mixing

• Always wear heavy-duty rubber gloves, NIOSH-approved respirator, and full PPE when working with Expert Wood Brightener or any other Expert Clean & Bright product. 
• Mix 4 oz – 8 oz of wood brightener with each gallon of cold water, stirring until powder is dissolved. 
• To avoid clogging the sprayer, mix in a separate 5 gallon pail before transferring it into a pump sprayer. 
• Use stripper solution within 24 hours of mixing. 
• Brightener solution is colorless.

Application

• Wet the surface and all surrounding areas, including plants and shrubs, with water before application.
• Apply Expert Wood Brightener solution using either a sprayer, brush, car wash brush, or a mop.
• Let the brightener solution sit for 5-15 minutes.
• Keep surface wet with additional solution until an obvious color change has occurred.
• If applying Expert Wood Brightener on vertical surfaces, start from the bottom-up.
• Repeat application if needed.

Rinse 

• Rinse surfaces and surrounding areas thoroughly for 10-15 minutes with water from a hose or pressure washer using lowest pressure.
• Rinse wood and surrounding surfaces thoroughly, never letting solution dry on windows, siding, metal, and other surfaces, or residue may be visible.
• Allow wood surfaces to dry 48-72 hours (or longer) before applying Expert Stain and Seal wood stains.
• Stains must be applied when wood is dried to 13% moisture content or less

Clean-Up

• Clean tools and equipment immediately after each use with soap and water.

Precautions
Keep out of reach of children. Always wear full PPE including a NIOSH-approved respirator when using this product. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with face, eyes, mouth, nose, and skin. Avoid breathing mist. Close the container tightly after each use. Do not reuse containers. Do not mix with chlorine bleach or other chemicals. Store in the original container only. Sweep up spills immediately and dispose of them properly. Contact with combustible organic materials may cause fire. Accumulation of product on ladders, scaffolding, decking, etc. may result in slippery surfaces. Contact your local disposal agency for proper disposal. Do not use this product near bodies of water or waterways.
