Weatherall UV Guard Application Methods
• Weatherall UV Guard can be easily applied by brush, airless sprayer or pump style garden sprayer.
• If spray application is used, back brushing is mandatory. Immediately brush all runs.

Weatherall UV Guard Application Information
• Always test a stain sample on your wood.
• The wood surface must be free from all dirt, stains, oil, grease, mildew, fungus or loose bark prior to stain application.
• Throughly stir all containers before use. It is recommended to box or mix multiple containers of stain to ensure color consistency.
• It is not recommend that Weatherall Clear UV Guard be used as the only exterior coating.
• Weatherall UV Guard Advance should be applied only as the "finish coat" after at least two (2) coats of stain have been applied or as a maintenance cost to reseal a previous finish. Both products used together offer the maximum amount of protection and durability.
• UV Guard Exterior Stain should be dry to the touch in 30 minutes to 1 hour and completely dry in 24 to 48 hours depending on ambient temperature and relative humidity.
• The second coat can be applied as a wet-on-wet application or a wet-on-dry application.
• Apply stain between 40 and 90 degrees. Do not apply UV Guard in direct sunlight.
• Avoid ladder marks by staining from top to bottom.

Weatherall UV Guard Maintenance Information
• When the finish starts to look dull, clean the surface and re-apply the UV Guard Advance Clear Wood Finish.
• It is recommended that the UV Guard Advance be applied every 2 to 4 years on the southern exposure and every 3 to 5 years on the other sides of the structure.
• Please note that the overall durability of the stain is dramatically affected by the preparation of the wood prior to staining and how well the application guidelines are followed.
